Enrolment
All
Kindergarten children should present an immunisation certificate at
the time of enrolment.
If you wish to enrol
your child at the school, you should make an appointment to meet
with the Assistant Principal Infants prior to completing an
Application for Enrolment form. Enrolment formalities can be
completed from the beginning of the year prior to your child's
commencing school, or in the start of the year in which they will
attend. Some form of proof of residential address and the child's
age must be presented, i.e. a birth certificate or passport.
Contact numbers must be
left in case of accidents. Any medical condition, e.g. asthma,
hearing, speech or sight problem, should also be noted.
Orientation
Every year the school has an open morning, when prospective children
and parents are invited to attend the school. It is hoped that the
children and their parents become more familiar with the school and
their future teachers and that apprehension about school will be
reduced.
The First Day
Please bring your child to the kindergarten rooms where lists will
clearly show which class she or he will be in. Your child will need:
a school bag which she or he is familiar with opening; a snack for
recess; a sandwich, a drink and fruit for lunch; a labelled old
shirt to protect the child's uniform during art and craft activities
and a library bag. Please label clearly everything your child owns
and do not send toys or items of value which can be lost or broken.
