Sport is regarded as an
integral and important part of the school program.
Infants children have a sports' program organised by individual
class teachers. Primary school children can compete in either
inter-school sport or play intra-school games on Friday afternoons.
Students are encouraged to participate in team sports to facilitate
health, fitness and camaraderie.
The school has both a Swimming Carnival and a Sports Carnival and
parents are welcome to attend. Children are placed in
Houses and
compete for points. at the various carnivals. The school houses are:
Macquarie (green),
Scott (red), MacArthur
(yellow)
and Smith
(blue)
Children wear house colours on the day of the
carnival. Individual winners in the carnivals go on to zone events.
House points are also awarded for citizenship and class activities
culminating in the Emu Cup
Children in Years 3-6
who do not attend PSSA Inter-School Sport are invited to participate in
a variety of skill building activities.
